Rajasthan Royals (RR) are locking horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in match 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. After winning the toss, RR skipper, Sanju Samson expectedly choose to bowl. RR was off to a good start as they dismissed certain Gujarat Titans batsmen for cheap. GT opener, Matthew Wade was gone after scoring only 12 runs from six balls.
Vijay Shankar failed to do well again as he was dismissed after scoring just a couple of runs from seven balls. This was not what Gujarat Titans were expecting. However, Hardik Pandya stood up to score phenomenally and did well against Rajasthan Royals. He went on to play a captain’s knock of 87 runs from 52 balls with a strike rate of 167.31. Hardik Pandya broke the backbone of the Rajasthan Royals bowling lineup.
Lockie Ferguson went on to bowl an excellent slow yorker to dismiss Jos Buttler. The England international looked in an incredible shape but Ferguson was just brilliant in his aspect as his yorker proved his worth. Gujarat Titans eventually win the match by 37 runs as after Buttler’s dismissal, Hardik Pandya’s brilliant throw sent Sanju Samson back to the dugout which left them reeling at 74/4 and RR never managed to recover from there.
