The New Zealand fast bowler, Lockie Ferguson became a hero for his team the Auckland Aces side in their encounter against the Central Districts. With his team needing 5 runs off the last two deliveries, Ferguson smashed a six off the bowling of Joey Field to help the Aces seal the deal.

Apart from that, Lockie Ferguson repeated a feat that Trent Boult had accomplished last week. With the Northern Brave side needing six runs off the final delivery, Boult went on to smash Ed Nuttall over deep mid-wicket for a gigantic six to help his team to a sensational triumph over the Canterbury outfit.

And, the official handle of Spark Sport took to Twitter and posted a video of Lockie Ferguson smashing Field for a six. Captioning the tweet, they wrote: “Lockie Ferguson channels his inner Trent Boult”. Here is the video of the six:

The Auckland Aces managed to pull off their second win of the Super Smash tournament with a 4-wicket win over the Central Districts outfit. The Central Districts did well with the bat as they went on to post a total of 168/5 on the board.

Grey Hay was the highest run-getter for the Districts side, as he played a classy knock of 45-ball 57. In reply, it was the Martin Guptill show that helped the Auckland side chase down the target. The right-handed batter played a quickfire knock of 79* off 58 deliveries at the top of the order to set the tone for the chase.

Ben Horne also chipped in with a blistering 27, at a strike rate of 300, and in the end, Lockie Ferguson finished the match in style with a superb six that sailed over the fine leg fielder. While the Auckland side is now placed at the 4th spot in the points table, the Central Districts are occupying the 3rd spot.
