New Zealand fast bowler, Lockie Ferguson reckons that the veteran Indian opener, Rohit Sharma is the most challenging batsman for him and he also added other prominent names like David Warner, Virat Kohli, and Steve Smith to the list. Rohit made his international debut in 2007, but it was only in 2013 when he opened for the first time in international cricket. It proved to be a masterstroke as runs flowed almost at will from his bat.
Rohit has managed to amass as many as three double centuries including the highest individual ODI score of 264. A record that stands to this day. In 2019 he got the top slot in Tests and scored centuries almost in every match he played.

During the latest chat with Sportskeeda, Fergusons said, “Good question, there’s quite a few. Rohit, I’ve found him very challenging. With him, if you don’t get him out quickly, he tends to go big. He picks up the length very quickly and where my strengths lie, batters play the wrong shot. He’s a world-class batter.”
Lockie Ferguson, who has part of New Zealand’s World Cup 2019 squad, said that batsmen like Smith, Warner, and Kohli give a bowler a great satisfaction after getting them out and termed them ‘world-class’.
The Kiwi pacer said, “Steve Smith, David Warner, Virat Kohli – these guys are world-class for a reason. They’re always tough to bowl too but it feels good when you knock off the top order and have a chance to get to bowl to the middle order or the lower order.”
