On the back of Robin Uthappa’s fifty and contributions from Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali and the middle order ensured that the CSK side was on the track to reach a huge score on the board while Ravi Bishnoi was the only bowler who came good for LSG with two for 24 in his quota of fours overs in a relatively batting friendly track.

In reply, Quinton de Kock and Rahul made an opening partnership of 99 runs for the first wicket and were up and running with the required run rate. However, it came to a stage when they needed more than 70 runs in the last five overs with Evin Lewis and Deepak Hooda at the crease. Lewis was in devastating form hitting three sixes and six fours in his unbeaten 23-ball 55 and Ayush Badoni gave the finishing touch with a 9 ball 19 to pull off the chase which looked quite tedious with 34 needed off the last two overs.
