The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) officially unveiled their new jersey ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season on Friday, marking a fresh visual identity for the franchise. Moving away from their traditional all-blue kit, the team has introduced a bold design featuring striking red-and-blue stripes, complemented by elegant golden accents. The change reflects a renewed identity as the franchise prepares for the upcoming season.

Earlier, the franchise had also introduced its new team logo, which carries deep symbolic meaning. According to the official statement from LSG, the emblem incorporates three powerful elements — Garuda, the Crown, and the Elephant — each representing a key value that the team wants to embody on and off the field.

Garuda stands for courage and ambition. It symbolises the fearless approach the Super Giants aim to bring to their cricket. Much like the mythical bird rising high into the sky, the franchise wants to represent bravery, resilience, and the belief that no dream is too big when pursued with determination and unity.

The Crown in the logo reflects pride and responsibility. Every time LSG players step onto the field, they carry the expectations of millions of supporters. The Crown serves as a reminder that representing the franchise is an honour that must be earned through commitment, performance, and respect for the game.

At the heart of the emblem is the Elephant, a symbol strongly connected with the cultural identity of Uttar Pradesh. It represents strength, wisdom, patience, and unity. The franchise believes the Elephant also mirrors the unwavering loyalty of its fans, whose support remains constant through victories and setbacks alike.

LSG owner Shashwat Goenka, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the RPSG Group, described the new identity as deeply emotional for the franchise.

He said the people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh welcomed the team with immense love from the very beginning. According to him, Garuda symbolises the team’s dream to rise higher, the Crown reflects the pride fans place in the players, and the Elephant represents the strength and loyalty that define the region.

Goenka added that the new logo and jersey are more than just a visual change — they represent a promise to honour the city and compete with passion every time the team steps onto the field.

In the previous season, LSG, led by captain Rishabh Pant, finished seventh in the IPL standings with six wins and eight losses, ending their campaign with 12 points. With a refreshed identity and a strong squad, the Super Giants will hope for a far more successful campaign in IPL 2026.
