South African pacer Lungi Ngidi has an excellent outing in the recent past. The pacer has 25 wickets to his name in 10 limited-overs matches for the Proteas in the summer. He also scalped his including career-best figures of 6/58 in his last encounter against Australia. Ngidi heaped praises on bowling coach Charl Langeveldt and said Charl’s ideology makes it comfortable to execute bowling plans.
“Having Langeveldt back has been really good for me. He has been very supportive and encourages the way I think. As a bowler, I feel really comfortable with executing my plans and I never fear that the bowling coach is not going to agree with my plan, Ngidi said.

“He understands me and he’s been there before. Has been in situations where you have the ball and you have to deviate from the game plan. Langeveldt got a lot of knowledge and he himself was a very skillful bowler. Charl has helped me a lot,” he added.
Langeveldt was working with the Bangladesh cricket team under Russell Domingo before he joined the South African camp in December last year.
South Africa Cricket team had a challenging home summer this year. England drew the ODI leg of the tour 1-1 after winning the Test series 3-1. The South Africans regained some pride and went on to win the three-match T20I series 2-1.
Later on, the Proteas were handed a 2-1 defeat in T20’s by Australia. However, the Proteas’ bounced back and 3-0 in the ODIs against Australia later on.

Lungi Ngidi made his debut for South Africa against Sri Lanka in 2017. Later on, he played his maiden Test against India at Centurion. Ngidi came under the limelight for his consistent performances and was rewarded for the same. The tall South African pacer received an IPL contract and he now plys his trade with the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
