Madame Tussauds Museum Unveils Virat Kohli’s Wax Statue In Dubai

Indian skipper Virat Kohli hasn’t been in the best of the forms with the bat in his hand but he still breaking records at every given opportunity. He is scoring runs but his 100-figure less drought has reached almost 24 months.

Now, Virat Kohli’s wax statue in the Madame Tussauds Museum in Dubai has been unveiled just before the commencement of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE and Oman. It opened to the public on October 14.

This is Kohli’s second wax statue. The first was launched at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London just ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019 in England.

The museum opened its doors last week and houses the statues of the likes of The Queen of England, former American President Donald Trump, footballer David Beckham, action star Jackie Chan, footballer Lionel Messi, actor Tom Cruise among many other celebrities from various fields and from many different countries.

Virat Kohli is one of the most popular cricketers around the world. He will be captaining India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE and Oman. This tournament will be his last assignment as the captain of the Indian T20I team. He announced to step down from the captaincy of this format just before the commencement of the IPL 2021.

Also, Kohli left the captaincy of Royal Challengers Bangalore as well after the conclusion of the IPL 2021. He took RCB to the playoffs this year but their journey was stopped in the eliminator again.

Now, he will be eager, more than ever, to lift his first-ever ICC trophy while leading the side. He has won two tournaments with Team India but MS Dhoni was the captain on both those occasions.
