Mahela Jayawardene an absolute gentleman and defines the personality of cricket embodying the spirit of the game in all its essence. Post-retirement, The Sri Lankan legend is involved in the IPL being the head coach of the Ambani owned Mumbai Indians team. Joining them in 2017  he has helped the franchise in winning two titles.

Rohit Sharma is expected to lead the Mumbai Indian teams to their 5th IPL once the 2020 tournament commences. Although due to the pandemic spread of the Corona Virus, the  IPL has been rescheduled and postponed. Such measures were taken s a precautionary measure to avoid mass gathering of people. Earlier scheduled to begin on 29th March, the 13th season of IPL is now rescheduled to begin on April 15 onwards.  With IPL delayed and everyone in isolation for personal safety, players and coaches are seen spending time on social media.

Mahela Jayawardene took to Twitter on Friday and shared a tweet on the social media platform. He shared a funny tweet which also had an important message for the people. in the tweet hared by a senior journalist, we have an attached image that shows how people are standing at a distance apart from people while standing in a queue to buy alcohol.

The tweeted from that journalist had a great caption. The journalist wrote,” Responsible drinking has a new meaning. Malayalis queuing up to buy alcohol. #COVID2019india #Kerala”

Jayawardene responded to the tweet. Finding it funny to see people standing in line to buy alcohol,  the Sri Lanka captain was happy to see people maintaining distance in the queue. Jayawardene tweeted, “Probably not what they should be buying but the distance is good.”
