Man drives car onto the pitch during Delhi-UP Ranji match

An unusual incident took place during a Ranji Trophy encounter between Delhi and Utter Pradesh, when a man interrupted the game after driving a car to the pitch. Both teams are playing in Delhi’s AirPort Sports Complex, Palam and this situation raise due to lack of security.

The third-day’ game was about to call off when a man named Girish Sharma drove a car into the ground at 4.40 PM. He stated that he didn’t notice any security person after stopping the play and he did it twice to stop the game.

The match officials looked at the pitch before declaring it fit to restart the game, but it was too late to call. Now, the final day’s game will begin 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Feroz Shah Kotla was the actual host of this game, but BCCI had to shift it as the same stadium host the first T20 International between India and New Zealand on Wednesday.

Currently, UP is batting their second innings and has a lead of 246 runs with three wickets in hand. Delhi is favorite to win the game.
