Currently, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are locking horns with each other at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. After winning the toss, the KXIP skipper, R Ashwin decided to bowl first and he opened the bowling with Mohammed Shami. During the toss, MI skipper, Rohit Sharma, revealed that they have made no changes in their squad, but Punjab had to do one change as Varun Chakravarthy had to make way for Murugan Ashwin.
Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock had a decent start to the innings for Mumbai at 50/0 after the first five overs. But then Rohit got dismissed in the sixth over bowled by Hudson Viljoen. Then came out to bat Surya Kumar Yadav who continued the momentum by smashing two back-to-back boundaries in the same over.
Yadav almost smashed the third boundary as well, but Mandeep Singh has different intentions as he saved the boundary with his brilliant effort. On the final ball of the over, Viljoen delivered another ball down the leg side again and Yadav worked it off the pads square but failed to beat the deep fine leg. Where Mandeep tried keeping the ball in with his first dive but the ball was still rolling as he went across the rope. He then put in dive from outside the boundary to keep the ball in again.

On the previous two deliveries, Surya came across a bit on the first and worked it to fine leg with some nifty wristwork. There’s a misfield at the edge of the circle and he gets four. However, for the other boundary, he just showed the full face off the bat and drives it down the ground with hardly any follow through.
Here is the video of the brilliant save:
