Marcus Stoinis describes his relationship with India

In a recently-released documentary of  ‘The Test,’  there was an episode that displayed Team India’s victory and how they won the 2018-19 ODI series  Australia 2-1.  Marcus Stoinis, the Australia all-rounder in a recent interview has said that the Indian players, who are not part of the current international setup are still are way more talented than him.

The Virat Kohli led Indian team won its maiden Test series on Australian soil in was the same tour.  Stoinis admitted that the Indian team is by far the most talented as the visitors didn’t put a foot wrong throughout the whole series bearing that one defeat in Perth.

Stoinis was quoted as saying in the documentary on Amazon Prime saying, “India is the most talented team in the world. Hands down. The players not playing are way more talented than me.”

In a sort of return leg of the same, The Aussies flew into the subcontinent a month later for a 5 match limited-overs matches. 30-year-old said that the energy in India motivates one to take the field as he was left awestruck by the love and passion for the sport in India.

“I love playing in India. I love the culture – its unmatched energy. It heightens all your senses. If you can harness all that excitement, that energy there is no way you can rock up there and not be motivated to play,” he added.

During Australia’s tour in India, Stoinis had a reasonable time as the all-rounder. He scored around 140 runs at an average of 46.66 in the four matches he played.  Stoinis managed a couple of wickets at a reasonable economy of 6.59.

Aussies had a series to remember as it was their maiden limited series victory after the much controversial ball-tampering scandal in Cape Town in 2018. India had a 2-0 lead in the series while Australia won the last 3 matches and walked away as winners.
