In another impressive showing at the home ground, Sunrisers Hyderabad kept star-studded Mumbai Indians down to only 147/8 in the night game. Earlier, SRH Captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat first. Disciplined bowling from Hyderabad did tremendously well to keep the men in blue quiet. Lewis top-scored with 29 while Kaul-Sandeep Sharma-Stanlake picked two wickets each. Sunrisers will be chasing a modest target of 148.

Evin Lewis bowled by Siddarth Kaul

Both the teams missed their star players. Hardik Pandya who got injured in the last match against Chennai Super Kings was left out tonight. Ben Cutting replaced him. The extra overseas player meant Mitchell McClenaghan had to sit out. Pradeep Sangwan replaced him. SUnrisers had a straight swap between Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sandeep Sharma.

Sandeep Sharma who started the innings fro SRH started off very well with pronounced swing movement early on. He induced Rohit into a mishit which was dropped by Deepak Hooda. First over went for only one. In the next over, Rohit tried to get back on the track with a four and a six but he was beaten by Stanlake to get out for 11.

Much-hyped Windies opener Evin Lewis looked like unstoppable when he started blazing with the bat. He soon rose up to 29* from 16 balls with three boundaries and two sixes. Siddarth Kaul who bowled brilliantly in the first match against Rajasthan Royals continued his great form.

Shakib Al Hasan picked up the wicket of Krunal Pandya.

Kaul got into the action straight away as he picked up both Kishan and Lewis in his first over. Mumbai Indians now stood at 54/3 after the powerplay overs. The run-rate became a straight line until Pollard started hitting. But he soon perished for 28 off 23 balls with three boundaries and two sixes.

Mumbai Indians kept struggling for runs after that. They missed their all-rounder Hardik Pandya direly as he was one of the finishers last year who slammed 15-ball 30 regularly. Huffing and puffing Mumbai reached to only 147/8 in their 20 overs. Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers with four overs going for only 13 runs.
