Matt Renshaw was hurt during warm-ups, according to commentator Mark Waugh, while Cricinfo claimed he “felt slight soreness in his right knee this morning and is icing it as a precaution, I think he might have injured something behind his knee,” Waugh said.
“Hopefully it’s not a major injury for Renshaw. He potentially could have bowled a few overs as well… I hear that he’s been taken to the hospital for precautionary scans or X-rays. That’s the last thing Australia needs,” Mark Waugh added.
The day belonged to the Indian bowlers, highlighted by comeback kid Ravindra Jadeja. He finished with 5 for 57, while off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin added three wickets to help India knock Australia out for 177 after they chose to bat first.
