Matthew Wade Was Visibly Disappointed After TV Umpire Gave In LBW

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is locking horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the first innings, Matthew Wade was very disappointed after the TV umpire adjudged him LBW after he took the DRS as on-field also gave him out. Wade was pretty sure he had nicked the ball.

Earlier, GT skipper, Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bat first. Both the teams made one change in their respective XIs as for RCB, Siddharth Kaul replaced Mohammed Siraj, whereas, Lockie Ferguson came in for Alzarri Joseph in GT’s XI.

GT had a shaky start as they lost Shubman Gill in the third over itself owing to a brilliant catch by Glenn Maxwell in the second innings. Maxwell was again responsible for the second wicket as well, as he send back Matthew Wade on his bowling with an LBW decision.

On the second ball of the last over of the powerplay. the on-field umpire gave Matthew Wade LBW, but he decided to take a review. Maxwell had bowled a length ball, which was angling towards the stumps. Wade moved across and want on his knee to sweep the ball towards fine-leg. There’s no bat involved and the ball-tracker shows it would have gone on to hit the middle and leg.
