Mayank Markande Takes A Low Catch To Get Rid Of Phil Salt

Delhi Capitals’ (DC) bowlers were hammered by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. SRH posted a huge score of 197-6 owing to the fiery half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma & Heinrich Klaasen struck blistering. DC’s management gave it another chance to Philip Salt. Philip Salt had a forgettable outing in the last match against SRH when he witnessed a golden duck.

DC had a terrible start to their run chase as Bhuvneshwar Kumar rattled David Warner’s stumps and dismissed him on a duck. Mitchell Marsh along with Philip Salt was quite cautious as there was some assistance for the fast bowlers on the pitch. DC scored 57 runs in the power-play overs as the duo went berserk and dominated the terms.

Mitchell Marsh and Phillip Salt in the 7th over hammered Umran Malik for 22 runs. Mitchell Marsh took the role of aggressor and was quite fearless. SRH’s spinners were bowling into the arc of Mitchell Marsh as he was whacking them all around the park. Philip Salt was seen rotating the strike.

DC managed to get past the 100-run mark in 9.2 overs as slowly they were getting close to the target with 9 wickets in hand. SRH skipper Aiden Markram was rotating the bowlers but wasn’t able to break the threatening partnership. Unexpectedly the pitch didn’t deteriorate. Mayank Markande was quite economical as he conceded just 14 runs in his 2 overs.

At the end of 11 overs, DC’s score was 111-1. Mayank Markande was bowling his 3rd over and on the 2nd delivery of the over Markande bowled a bit short of a length delivery on off-stump as Salt tried to play the shot past the bowler but Markande took a stunning reflex catch.

Philip Salt & Mitchell Marsh were involved in a partnership of 112 runs in 60 balls. Phil Salt was dismissed on 59 runs in 35 balls and this could be a chance for SRH to make a comeback in the match. Mitchell Marsh’s wicket would be decisive in this match.
