Mayank Markande Took A Brilliant Catch To Send Back Nicholas Pooran

Mumbai Indians (MI) is locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 65th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the first innings, Mayank Markande, who was fielding at deep backward square leg lunged forward, got his hands underneath the ball, and took a tremendous catch.

MI skipper, Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. Both teams made a couple of changes as Priyam Garg comes in for Shashank Singh and Fazal Farooqi comes in for Marco Jansen for SRH. On the other hand, for MI, Mayank Markande and Sanjay Yadav came in to replace Hrithik Shokeen and Kumar Kartikeya.

SRH got off to an excellent start against MI as they were cruising at 57/1 at the end of Powerplay after Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked them to bat. They lost the wicket of Abhishek Sharma early in the innings but Priyam Garg along with Rahul Tripathi steadied the innings.

Nicholas Pooran walked in to bat after the dismissal of Garg and he also started power hitting. Tripathi has scored a fifty and SRH is heading towards a big total. Pooran scored 39 off 22 balls and was involved in 50+ partnerships with Tripathi. But in the 17th over he tried to flick Riley Meredith on the leg side but couldn’t connect. Mayank Markande fielding at deep backward square leg lunged forward, got his hands underneath the ball and took a tremendous catch.
