The Maharashtra Cricket Association has agreed to implement Lodha Committee recommendations after a meeting of its governing body on Friday.
MCA President Abhay Apte quoted “The MCA has nanimously agreed to implement the Lodha Committee reforms and any further orders that the (Supreme) court may pass in this regard.”
He further added “Members were completely unanimous on this issue and I am very happy that members have considered association above their personal interest.”
Earlier this month, MCA gave hints to adopt the recommendations made by Lodha Committee. Meanwhile, former BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke was present at the above mention meeting, which raised few eyebrows.
However, a senior MCA office revealed that Shirke is a member of Maharashtra cricket circuit and has every right attend any meeting involving MCA.
