MCA Felicitates MS Dhoni For His World Cup Winning Six At Wankhede

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Friday, April 7 felicitated former India captain, MS Dhoni, for his World Cup-winning six at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Notably, the Indian team lifted the coveted trophy after a huge gap of 28 years and attained glory after the skipper dispatched one into the stands in 2011 against Sri Lanka in the summit clash.

The association decided to honor MS Dhoni for helping the men in blue engrave their names in the history books. In a video shared by RevSportz, the World Cup-winning skipper was seen receiving the honor from MCA president Amol Kale.

Furthermore, MS Dhoni posed for pictures with the president at the spot where he hammered the six that won the Indian team, the ODI World Cup title. The MCA confirmed that a ‘Victory Memorial’ will be built at the site where Dhoni’s winning six had landed in Wankhede stadium. Additionally, five chairs (seat numbers J282-J286) will be removed from the memorial site.

Speaking about the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, MS Dhoni and his men have begun preparations in full swing, and in their next game, they will be facing the five-time winners, Mumbai Indians (MI).
