Former English skipper, Michael Vaughan is of the opinion that the upcoming T20 World Cup which is scheduled to be played in India later this year will be won by the team which wins the toss after yet another match ended with the chasing side managed to win the match during the ongoing five-match T20I series between India and England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
England registered a dominating 8-wicket win in the third T20I on Tuesday to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. It was the third time in a row that the team batting second after winning the toss won the game. Tweeting about the toss, Michael Vaughan said, “So it looks like the T20 World Cup in India could be won by the best Tosser.”

India, after being asked to bat first, rode on Virat Kohli’s late onslaught to reach 156 for 6 with the Indian skipper playing a dominating knock of 77 off 46 balls with 8 fours and four sixes. Jos Buttler then came out all guns blazing with a career-best 83 not out off 52 balls to anchor England to 158-2 with 10 balls to spare.

However, the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli didn’t blame the toss for the defeat and instead pointed out how his team lacked intensity in the match.
During the post-match presentation, Kohli said, “If you lose the toss, embrace what’s been asked of you as a team. The England bowlers were absolutely brilliant with the new ball. In the first six overs, they hardly gave us anything and made our lives very difficult. We tried to come back as well as we could but I don’t think our body language in the second half was acceptable in the field. Defending 160, you need intensity and energy and that was lacking tonight.”
