Michael Vaughan Takes A Dig At Virat Kohli After His Duck

The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli suffered a rare failure on the second day of the ongoing fourth Test against England in Ahmedabad on Friday. Kohli was sent back to the pavilion for a duck by Ben Stokes as the India skipper edged one straight to Ben Foakes behind the stumps and then Former English skipper, Michael Vaughan took a dig at Kohli. Stokes had a bowled a back of length delivery that jumped off the surface and took the edge of Kohli’s on its way through to the keeper.

After his dismissal, Virat Kohli was seen sat the pitch before walking back to the pavilion. Michael Vaughan used Kohli’s gesture as an opportunity to continue his fun banter on the Ahmedabad pitch and he tweeted “Surely that wasn’t Virat staring at the Pitch … !!!!! #INDvENG.”

Vaughan was among the few former cricketers who had come hard on the pitch conditions in India during the ongoing four-match Test series between India and England. The talks surrounding the surface grew further after the third Test (day-night Test) ended in two days.

In the 4th and the final Test, The Indian team had bundled out the visiting team for a meager score of 205 in their first innings on an opening day. Axar Patel, playing his third Test, was again the pick of the bowlers for the hosts as the left-arm spinner picked up four wickets and he conceded just 68 runs.

Apart from Axar, Ravichandran Ashwin accounted for three conceding 47 runs while Mohammed Siraj picked up a couple of crucial wickets of Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow.

Washington Sundar also chipped in with the ball and he dismissed Ben Stokes. In reply, India had lost wickets on regular intervals and were 80 for four at lunch on Day 2.However, at the end of the day’s play, the hosts are standing comfortably at 294/7 with Rishabh Pant scoring his third Test century.
