Sunrisers Hyderabad batting first against Kings XI Punjab at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad could score only 132/6. Kings XI Punjab bowled excellently in patches and kept away SRH batsmen from swinging hard. There were flaws in KXIP fielding but still they have managed to keep SRH below a par score here.

Winning the toss Ashwin decided to chase and also disrupting the usual plan of SRH on their home ground. KXIP finally decided to axe Yuvraj Singh and included Manoj Tiwary in his place. Chris Gayle who had missed the previous match due to stiff back also made his return at the expense of  David Miller. SRH went unchanged.

Hero from the last match, Ankit Rajpoot struck early and took the biggest wicket of Hyderabad. he dismissed Kane Williamson on the fourth ball of the match as Kane failed to cope up with the short ball. He returned for a duck in his name. Next over, Rajpoot rocked again and removed the other SRH pillar Shikhar Dhawan as well.

In the fifth over, Rajpoot completed his trilogy and sent back Wriddhiman Saha. SRH then got down to 27/3. It could have well been 27/4. Barinder Sran bowled a short one which Shakib handed straight ti the third-man. Luckily his non-striker Manish Pandey was vigilant and pointed out the no-ball. Shakib got a revival and made the most of it.

The Pandey-Hasan partnership guided SRH towards a safe score. THere were a total of four catches dropped by Punjab fieldsmen which contributed to the total. Ankit Rajpoot recorded the best IPL figures of the 2018 season as he took two wickets in his last over. Rajpoot ended with the figures of 4-0-14-5.

Manish Pandey scored 54 from 51 balls but it was not a smooth inning. Shakid contributed with 28 from 29 balls and Yusuf added 21 runs from 19 balls. SRH managed to defend 118 at Wankhede the other night. Now they face the mighty Kings at the home with 132 runs on the board. Which way will the match go?
