Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are one of the three teams that are yet to win an IPL title since the inaugural edition of the cash-rich league. It’s been 13 years now and still, RCB couldn’t win the trophy. They are often called the unluckiest team because they have played in the finals on 3 occasions. However, they lost all three times as well.

They lost to Deccan Chargers way back in 2008. After that, they lost to Chennai Super Kings in 2011 and then again, they lost in the IPL 2016 season. Virat Kohli-led RCB had qualified for the IPL 2020 playoffs and finished fourth in the points table where Sunrisers Hyderabad knocked them out in the Eliminator in the United Arab Emirates.

But, RCB fans keep supporting their teams in their good and bad times as well. Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bangalore are dominating the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League as well in India as they are the only unbeaten team so far.

After the win in their final game, Virat Kohli said: “It was an outstanding innings. He batted really well for his first season last time. There was a lot of talk about him not accelerating after getting to 30s. He’s put all that to rest. It was a good pitch to bat on to be honest, and him being tall meant that bowlers struggled with their lengths. T20 cricket is always about partnership cricket. You can’t always go big from the word go. When one guy is going well, it’s important for me to ensure that I don’t lose my wicket. It can change on other days. We spoke about it (on the 100). He told me to finish it off, I told him to get to it first. He said many will come, I said yea you can say that after you get to the landmark. He deserved to get the three-figure mark.”
