The veteran Indian cricketer, Mithali Raj on Friday became the first Indian woman batter to surpass the tally of 10,000 runs in international cricket across all formats. Mithali had reached the feat in the ongoing third One-day International (ODI) against South Africa in Lucknow. The Indian ODI skipper played a useful knock of 36 runs off 50 balls before being dismissed by Anne Bosch.
“What a champion cricketer! First Indian woman batter to score 10K international runs. Take a bow, @M_Raj03,” the BCCI tweeted.
