Mithali Raj sends a special gift to Soha Ali Khan’s nine-month-old daughter

Indian women’s cricket team ODI captain Mithali Raj has recently sent a special gift to Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, the nine-month-old daughter of Bollywood couple Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu.

The female cricketer sent a bat to the little girl where she wrote “It’s never too early to start” and also added an autograph.

In her official Twitter account, Soha thanked Mithali for that special gift.

The Bollywood actor posted, “Thank you so much @M_Raj03 for this very precious present for Inaaya!! Can’t wait for her to grow into it – until then we will be watching you continue to make India proud on the field!!”

In reply, Mithali wrote, “Thank you!! And you’re most welcome! There’s bound to be some cricket in her blood!”

The 35-year-old Mithali Raj is the captain of Indian women’s cricket team. Making her international cricket debut in 1999, the right-handed top-order batswoman has played 10 Tests, 194 ODIs and 77 T20Is where she has scored 663 runs, 6,373 runs and 2,123 runs respectively. She has also taken eight wickets and all of these wickets came from the ODI cricket.

Under her captaincy, India women’s cricket team has become runners-up for twice in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (2005 and 2017).

On the other hand, Soha Ali Khan is a daughter of Bollywood and cricket family. Her mother Sharmila Tagore and elder brother Saif Ali Khan are Bollywood actors while her father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and grandfather Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi were the international cricketers.

Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi had played international cricket both for England (3 Tests) and India (3 Tests) from 1932 to 1946. The right-handed batsman had led the Indian side in all three games that he had represented.

Meanwhile, his son Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi had played 46 Test matches for India from 1961 to 1975. Out of those matches, the junior Pataudi led the national side in 40 Tests.
