The defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is be locking horns with the new entrants Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 62nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the last over of the powerplay in the first innings, Moeen Ali has smashed back-to-back sixes off Rashid Khan.
CSK skipper, MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first citing the scorching heat in Mumbai. While GT made no changes in their playing XI, Chennai made as many as 4 changes as Robin Uthappa, DJ Bravo, Maheesh Theekshana, and Ambati Rayudu are sitting this game out. N Jagadeesan, Prasant Solanki, Mitchell Santner, and Matheesha Pathirana are featured in the playing XI.

In the first four overs, CSK’s score was 15/1 and no boundaries were hit. Yash Dayal was brought in to bowl the fifth over and he conceded 15 runs and CSK was back on track with 30 runs in five overs.
Rashid Khan came to bowl the sixth over – the final over of the powerplay – and on the first three balls only, he gave away just three runs. It looked like Rashid will close the powerplay quietly but Moeen Ali had other plans.

The fourth ball was dropped short by Rashid and Moeen Ali was quick to react and pulled it over square leg for a six. It was close to the fielder set and Rashid had a bit of a smile on his face that he almost got Moeen out. But on the next ball, it was a far better connection as Moeen slog-swept Rashid Khan over mid-wicket and the ball went far away into the stands. 17 runs came in that Rashid Khan;s over.
