Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez praised the Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and left-arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav for their recent efforts. Off-spinner Mohammad Hafeez, who is currently suspended from bowling in international cricket by the ICC, praised the leg-spinners and claimed that they add a lot of excitement to the games.
Mohammad Hafeez is feeling really happy to see the leg-spinners performing well in the international cricket. Talking about the present dominant performances by the leg-spinners in international cricket, Hafeez spoke out, “This is one area that every team looks forward to. Having leg spinners in the team provides them with lots of excitement and options to get wickets. Leg-spinners are always fascinating when it comes to cricket, starting from Abdul Qadir when he used to bowl his googlys it was a new thing in cricket and everyone just loved that. Then the legacy continued led by Anil Kumble from India, Shane Warne from Australia, Mushtaq Ahmad from Pakistan. I think every team should have a leg-spinner because it gives you an X-Factor.”

Indian spin duo Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav provided impressive performances during the away bilateral ODI series against the hosts South Africa. While Yadav was the most wicket-taker in that ODI series with 17 wickets, Chahal picked up 16 wickets and finished in the second place of the most wicket-taker in that ODI series. Their brilliant performances helped the Indian side to win the six-match bilateral ODI series by the 1-5 margin.
37-years old Hafeez appreciated them by quoting, “Chahal, Kuldeep have done really well.”

Hafeez also praised Pakistan young all-rounder Shadab Khan who is also a leg-spinner. In the recently concluded Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand, Shadab performed very well in both with the bat and ball.
The 19-years leggie picked up 5 wickets during the ODI series while he was the highest wicket-taker (5 wickets) in the T20I series. Also, he scored total 140 runs in the ODI series (average 35.00) including two half-centuries.
Talking about the Shadab Khan, Hafeez commented, “Shadab Khan is fabulous but still has a lot to learn.”
