The fiery Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir is currently in Zimbabwe where his team is playing a triangular T20I series involving the hosts and Australia. The tri-series will be followed by a five-match ODI series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe and Amir is expected to play a crucial role for his team. He didn’t play the first two T20Is but got an opportunity in the last match where he finished with figures of 4-0-25-1 with the wicket of Tarisai Musakanda.

Amir has witnessed one of the most eventful cricketing careers so far and in the course of that, he has bowled to a number of decent batsmen. Recently, in an interaction with ESPNCricinfo in their 25-Questions-Answer session, the left-arm fast bowler revealed that Steve Smith, the former Australian skipper is the toughest batsman to bowl to. During the chat, he also answered a lot of questions in a quickfire round.

Pakistan’s bowling spearhead also praised the hairstyle of the retired all-rounder Shahid Afridi and rated it as the best. He also wished to have got a chance to bowl to the Windies legend Brian Lara. The fast bowler reckons that ‘deadlift’ as the most boring workout and craves to have at least one hat-trick in all three formats of the sport. Moreover, he mentioned Sergio Aguero, the Argentina footballer, as his favorite sportsman outside cricket.

Amir has had a lot of ups and downs in his career, despite getting a chance to feature in the national squad when he was a teenager. He gathered a lot of eyeballs with his raw pace and ability to move the bowl both the ways. In 2011, he along with Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt was found guilty of spot-fixing at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. Consequently, they were banned from playing international cricket.

In 2015, Amir’s ban was lifted by the International Cricket Council (ICC). He made his comeback in the national squad for the 2016 Asia Cup and played his first match against India where he picked up three vital wickets and pushed the Men in Blue on the backfoot. However, he hasn’t been as impressive as expected following his return. Apart from a few brilliant performances, he has mostly outplayed by the batsmen.
