Delhi Capitals (DC) is hosting the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 50th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 6, 2023. But an incident in the second innings grabbed eyeballs when Mohammed Siraj was seen engaging in a verbal fight with Delhi Capitals’ (DC) openers Philip Salt and David Warner. After getting smashed for a couple of sixes and a four in the first three deliveries of the fifth over, Siraj bowled a wide ball. That’s when Salt was seen saying something to Siraj, which triggered the fast bowler and the three got into an argument.

Things looked very heated between the two players, and it is likely that a fine will be imposed on the players for their actions. In such cases, the players typically face a fine of some percentage of their match fee for breaching the IPL code of conduct.

Talking about the match, during the chase, Delhi Capital (DC) opener came out all guns blazing as openers Warner and Salt stitched up a 60-run partnership within the powerplay before the skipper was sent packing by Josh Hazelwood. Warner amassed 22 runs off 14 deliveries, which included three fours and one six.

Phil Salt was phenomenal with both the bat as he notched up his second half-century of the season helping his side during the chase. Marsh’s victims included RCB skipper Faf du Plessis and top-order batter Glenn Maxwell as he registered figures of 2/21 in the three overs that he bowled in the game.
