Despite the stunning show from Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), on Tuesday, beat them by 1 run, courtesy of a superb last over from pacer Mohammed Siraj. Delhi Capitals needed 14 runs off the last six balls to win with Pant and Hetmyer in the middle. However, Siraj kept his cool and restricted DC despite being conceded two boundaries of the last two balls.
On Thursday, Siraj recalled the last over with his teammate Navdeep Saini and Shahbaz Ahmed in a video shared by RCB’s official Twitter handle.
“Bold Diaries: Miyan Magic. Mohammed Siraj talks about that final over he bowled against Delhi Capitals, while Saini and Shahbaz share the emotions they went through. This video is all love,” RCB captioned the video on Twitter.

There, Mohammed Siraj was seen talking with Saini and Ahmed about their mindset when he was bowling the final over against Delhi Capitals. He asked them what they were thinking when DC needed just 14 runs to win in the last over. Shahbaz said that he wasn’t nervous at all but he got scared when they required six runs off the final ball.
Then Mohammed Siraj further asked them what did they think would happen next in that final over as Delhi Capitals were one big hit away from their win. To that, Shahbaz replied that he had full confidence in Siraj. He again added that he was a bit nervous only before the last ball was being bowled and then it was the last ball and anything could have happened as the batsman already scored a boundary by then.

Navdeep Saini, meanwhile, added that he wanted Siraj to back his strength and go ahead as per his plan, as he has done in the last games. Saini also believed that if Mohammed Siraj backed himself, he would be able to execute his plan well against Delhi Capitals too. However, the Virat Kohli-led RCB will next play against Punjab Kings in the 26th match of the IPL on Friday in Ahmedabad as well.
