Social media has been abuzz with praise for the 31-year-old, celebrating his tireless spells and never-say-die attitude. While Shubman Gill impressed with 754 runs in 10 innings, Siraj’s relentless pace and aggression stood out just as much. He bowled 185.3 overs at an average of 32.43 and an economy of 4.02 — numbers that only tell part of the story of his warrior-like effort.
England, chasing 398, seemed destined for victory at 301/3 with Joe Root and Harry Brook in sublime touch. But Siraj removed Brook for 111, triggering a late collapse. Root fell shortly after for a resilient 105, edging behind to Dhruv Jurel, giving India a critical opening. From there, the Indian bowlers tightened their grip, reducing England from a dominant position to 391 all out in the final session, handing India one of their most memorable away Test wins.

Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue starred for England in the first innings, but were unable to break key partnerships in the second.
Mohammed Siraj was the standout performer with match figures of 9/190, including a spirited 5/104 in the fourth innings. Prasidh Krishna’s 4/126 proved just as vital, especially in the tense closing stages.
