Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni enjoyed a round of golf in the company of former US President Donald Trump, marking a delightful interlude in his leisure-filled schedule. The rendezvous came to light when Hitesh Sanghvi, a Dubai-based entrepreneur, shared an image on his Instagram account, capturing the momentous occasion. In his post, Sanghvi exclaimed, “Golf with @mahi7781, @realdonaldtrump, and @rajiv.knack. Thank you, Mr. President, for hosting us.”

This unanticipated union of cricketing legend Dhoni and the former US head of state certainly raised eyebrows and sparked interest. MS Dhoni, having taken a hiatus from the cricketing world since leading the Chennai Super Kings to their fifth IPL title, has been relishing his leisure time to the fullest. This break from cricket has allowed him to indulge in his passions and hobbies, such as golf and watching world-class sporting events.

One such event that Dhoni attended was the quarterfinal clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev at the US Open 2023. The match, held on a Wednesday, witnessed Alcaraz displaying extraordinary prowess on the tennis court as he outperformed Zverev with a score of 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. This victory catapulted the young Spaniard into the semi-finals of the US Open, the final major tournament of the year.

Notably, this victory against Zverev held immense significance as the two players had previously met on four occasions, with their wins evenly split. Consequently, this fifth encounter was poised to be a decisive showdown, ultimately culminating in Alcaraz’s favor.

Alcaraz’s journey at the US Open has been nothing short of remarkable. The Spanish sensation had clinched his maiden Grand Slam title at the same event in 2022, defeating Casper Ruud in a thrilling final. This achievement had propelled him to the coveted world No. 1 ranking for the first time in his burgeoning career.
