MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli Among Dignitaries Invited To Grand Ram Mandir Consecration

World Cup-winning former India captain, MS Dhoni, has received an invitation to attend the “Pran Pratishtha ceremony” of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Dhananjay Singh, co-province secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), handed over the invite at Dhoni’s residence in Ranchi, with the presence of Karmaveer Singh, the State Organization General Secretary of BJP.

The ceremony is scheduled for January 22, and Dhoni joins the esteemed list of cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, who have been invited to this historic event. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been actively extending invitations to over 6000 individuals across the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also set to grace the event, emphasizing its significance. Acknowledging the widespread enthusiasm, PM Modi has urged ‘Ram Devotees’ not to overcrowd Ayodhya on the day of consecration. He suggested devotees visit the temple at their convenience after the formal proceedings on January 22.

“I have a request to all. Everyone has a wish to come to Ayodhya to be a part of the event on 22 January. But you know it is not possible for everyone to come. Therefore, I request all Ram devotees that once the formal program is done on 22nd January, they should come to Ayodhya at their convenience and do not make up their minds to come to Ayodhya on 22nd January,” PM Modi had said.

 

MS Dhoni, returning to Ranchi after celebrating the New Year with family and friends in Dubai, is gearing up for the IPL 2024 season. The former captain, who underwent knee surgery post-IPL 2023, confirmed his participation in the upcoming season and has been diligently preparing to ensure peak fitness.
