The second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is scheduled to be commencing on September 19 where the remaining matches of the tournament will be taking place. In the latest turn of events, the official announcement of IPL 2021 has been made wherein a short clip featuring MS Dhoni could be seen turning a lot of eyeballs. In a short video released ahead of the IPL 2021, CSK skipper MS Dhoni can be seen sporting a funky look.

As the video starts, MS Dhoni can be seen talking about the second phase of the IPL 2021 which will be commencing on September 19. He also adds in a filmy style that the first phase was just a teaser while the real fun will be witnessed in the second leg. The legendary skipper of CSK, MS Dhoni, would be seen leading his yellow army yet again in the remaining 31 games.

Earlier this year, IPL 2021 got suspended due to the sudden emergence of the COVID-19 cases across camps. It was unanimously decided by the BCCI and IPL governing council that the T20 tournament will be suspended and the second half will take place later. The remaining 31 matches will be taking place in the UAE wherein the opening match will take place between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI).

In the latest turn of events, an update regarding two Indian cricketers has emerged. It was reported that Shubman Gill and T Natarajan are likely to be taking part in the Indian T20 league.

Giving an update on Gill’s injury, a source said, “He is not feeling pain. Gradually his workload will be increased – from slow jogging to running twice-thrice a week. We’re confident he will be fine by the IPL which is anyway a month away. We’ve got the go-ahead and he will be travelling with us to Dubai on August 31.”

While Mumbai will be keen on defending their IPL trophy for the second time, Chennai will be eyeing to win their fourth title this time.
