There have been many speculations regarding MS Dhoni’s and his retirement from the sport. The 38-year-old  exclusion from BCCI annual contract list can also be considered an inclination of the same.  Many Indian cricket fans miss the presence of Dhoni when the Virat Kohli led team walks out to play. The former Indian skipper last featured at the international stage in the semifinal against New Zealand at the 2019 World Cup. It has been over 10 months since the 2011 World Cup-winning captain played a game of competitive cricket.

Dhoni was all set to return in action with Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. However, fans will have to wait a little longer as the 13th edition of IPL has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak. The head coach of Indian team Ravi Shastri also said that Dhoni’s comeback IPL performance to be a big determining factor in the Ranchi man’s inclusion for T20 World Cup 2020.

Famous Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty also gave his opinion on the future MS Dhoni. Former Indian cricket Aakash Chopra shared a video wherein Suniel Shetty has backed MS Dhoni. Shetty feels that no one can replace Dhoni in the T20 World Cup squad.

“Between Pant and Samson, I see MS Dhoni and only MS Dhoni for the World Cup. I feel he is getting fit out there and he will be back in a very very big way. Players from across the world feel that if Dhoni is there, it’s a strong team. Dhoni will play, he will score in the IPL,” Shetty said.

Shetty also spoke on providing Sanju Samson more chances with the Indian team. He said, “Pant and Samson are very talented. Samson hasn’t got his chances. Pant is supremely talented but he needs to lose 4-5 kg of weight. It’s a positive thing I mean to say, but as far as wellness and fitness go, there’s a difference in movement.”
