With Indian Premier League (IPL) is moving toward its business end and playoffs all set to commence, it will be a festival time in Chepauk when their home side Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be facing the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 23. Both sides have looked formidable in the tournament so far and also have a settled playing 11 resulting in GT finishing as the table topper while CSK is at the second spot.
Considering that the winner will be reaching the final, the stakes are higher for this epic encounter and hence MS Dhoni, the CSK skipper was seen leaving no stone unturned ahead of the match. In a video posted by CSK’s official Twitter handle, the former Indian skipper can be practicing some explosive hitting. It is to be noted that MS this season has adopted this unique role where he comes to play in the last 2-3 overs and tries to whack every ball out of the park.

A video post that the CSK put out was captioned, “The Raw Version of the roar! “ and It was seen in the video with MS Dhoni going downtown with every ball the right-handed batter faced.

The previous time when these two teams locked horns with each other was in the season’s opening game in which the defending champion GT registered a rather comfortable 5-quick win over CSK. Certainly, GT has had better off CSK every time these two sides have faced each other. In all three matches played between these two teams so far, Hardik Pandya-led team has defeated CSK.

But it will be a tough ask for GT this time around as CSK has certainly looked to be a force to reckon with, having the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway witnessing a purple patch in the season so far. And their death bowling has certainly improved from the last time when GT defeated CSK.
