In the post on March 4, Dhoni had written, “Can’t wait for the new season and the new ‘role.’ Stay tuned!” The cryptic message set the cricket community abuzz, speculating on the nature of the legendary cricketer’s anticipated role.

On March 7, the anticipation was put to rest as Dhoni shared a new ad on Facebook for IPL 2024. In the ad, he showcased a double role, contributing to the excitement surrounding the 17th edition of the IPL. The promotional video aims to pique fans’ interest, offering a glimpse of the thrilling moments they can expect during the upcoming cricket season.

In a playful nod to the ad, Dhoni tagged Jio Cinema and mentioned, “New season, double role! All the action brought to you free with #IPLonJioCinema, starting 22nd March. Kyunki sab yahaan, aur kahaan!”

 

The iconic leader of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) arrived in Chennai on March 5 to join his teammates in preparation for IPL 2024. Dhoni, renowned for his leadership skills, led an inexperienced CSK side to their record-equalling fifth IPL title in the previous season, drawing level with the Mumbai Indians.
