Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni has been seen spray painting the seats at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai as shared in a video by the franchise. Ahead of the eagerly-anticipated 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), players have joined their respective camps and have begun preparations in full swing for the competition.
Notably, four-time IPL winners CSK will kickstart proceedings on Friday, March 31, as they lock horns with defending champions Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. As preparations for the top-tier league have got underway, the skipper of the Chennai-based franchise, MS Dhoni took some time away from the nets to help the ground staff at Chepauk. He was seen painting the seats of their home ground ahead of the IPL.

The skipper was seen using spray paint to refurbish the stands at Chepauk in Chennai along with the authorities. In a video shared by the franchise on its official Twitter account, Dhoni seemed to be enjoying the moment, helping out with the paint job at the venue.Β “Definitely looking Yellove,” remarked Dhoni after spray painting the seats in yellow.

CSK will open their campaign at the Narendra Modi Stadium when they will be locking horns with the defending champions Gujarat Titans in the season opener of IPL 2023 on March 31.

Dhoni arrived in Chennai well ahead of the start of the new season. The 4-time winner joined the CSK players at the training session at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Some of the clips of MS Dhoni hitting big sixes have gone viral on social media with fans hoping for a blockbuster season from the 41-year-old, who is in the twilight of his career.
Dhoni has not yet opened up about retirement from IPL but the veteran wicket-keeper batter hinted about it when he said he would not hang up his boots without having the opportunity to play at home and travel across the country for away games in the home-away format of IPL 2023.
