If reports are to be believed, Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Films is expected to be producing the second installment to the MS Dhoni franchise, which will see Sushant Singh Rajput reiterate the role of the Helicopter specialist.

As reported by mid-day.com, with the spreading speculations of the sequel, a source close to the actor revealed that the film will focus on Dhoni’s accomplishments post-India’s victory at the 2011 World Cup. The first part was concluded after the triumph in the World Cup 2011.

Talking about the event that will be included in the second installment, a source said, “There is the (Dhoni-led Chennai) thrilling win against Bangalore at the T20 (this year, that can be depicted in the film). Apart from that, India’s steady run, up to the semi-finals, at the 2015 World Cup will find a place in the narrative.”

After impressing one and all in his career-best performance so far in ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016)’, Sushant Singh Rajput is ready to hit the cricket pitch again. The source also revealed that similar to the first part, MS will have a fair share of involvement in this part as well, especially in the scripting process.

Expected to hit the silver screen in 2019, the film may push the making of Sushant Singh Rajput starrer biopic on Paralympic Games hero Murlikant Petkar at the back burner. Even though the director for the sequel is yet to be finalized, the actor is expected to resume his cricket lessons soon.
