Legendary former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni resides in a sprawling seven-acre farmhouse in Ranchi-a place that well reflects his love for nature and a peaceful lifestyle. But before he moved into his dream home, Dhoni built a bungalow in Ranchi after the Jharkhand state government allotted him a property.

Although he has permanently moved to his farmhouse, his former home has completely transformed. Recently, Dhoni made updates to his old property, making its striking exteriors easily recognizable. To honour his cricketing legacy, the iconic number “7” from his jersey has been carved into the logo that now sits atop the building.
Complementing this tribute is a beautifully designed panel of glass artwork showcasing a silhouette of Dhoni, with varying shades representing his journey as one of India’s most revered cricketers. Since retiring from international cricket on August 15, 2020, Dhoni has participated only in competitive matches with Chennai Super Kings during the Indian Premier League.

Even though he stepped down as captain of CSK before the 2024 season, his influence remains strong within the team, where he is regarded as a key player. Dhoni also attends numerous scheduled events, sharing his experiences and inspiring young minds.
In one such instance, Dhoni motivated young minds to dream big, stating that success is no longer geographically bound. “Small-town dreams can conquer the world — success is not dependent on a pin code anymore. If a boy from Ranchi can achieve it, then with the right guidance, dedication, and mindset, anyone can.

Focus on the preparation that happens behind the scenes; this is what leads to composure on the big stage and the results that follow. Live in the present and enjoy every moment — “I never thought about playing for India; I only focused on giving my best in every match I played while growing up,” MS Dhoni once said, as quoted by NDTV. His words resonated with millions, proving yet again why he remains an inspiration far beyond the cricket field.
