The Indian chief selector, MSK Prasad has come with an update over the retirement plans of the former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni. The latter has been on a sabbatical from cricket after returning from World Cup 2019. There were a plethora of rumors that he might decide to hang his boots from cricket but that has not happened so far with T20 World Cup scheduled to be held next year in Australia.
Dhoni has missed the series against West Indies, South Africa, and Bangladesh. After taking a sabbatical from cricket, he had served in the Indian Paramilitary force for almost a month. He has a huge fan base in India and everyone is eagerly waiting for his return back to the cricket.
Recently in an interview, Prasad said that MS has not declared his retirement plans yet and he has several options available for him but it totally depends on his call. Moreover, after having such an illustrious career, Dhoni has the right to take the final call on his career. According to Prasad, nobody can question his credibility and his contribution to Indian cricket.

The Indian stalwart has helped India in winning several accolades under his leadership like T20 World Cup (2007), ODI World Cup (2011), ICC Champions Trophy (2013), No.1 Test team status and many more.
The Indian chief selector elaborated, “The panel members if we take away our professional responsibilities, are as big a fan of Dhoni as anyone. He has achieved everything under the sun, winning two World Cups, the Champions Trophy, No. 1 Test status.”
