The 5-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians are the most successful team in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Rohit Sharma-led team has a plethora of T20 specialists which makes it difficult to find any shortcoming in the side and their stellar record backs the claim. However, alongside their batting and bowling prowess, several MI cricketers have also been blessed with a great sense of humor.

On Thursday, the official Twitter account of Mumbai Indians shared a video in which several cricketers can be seen revealing the funniest person in the MI dressing room. The clip was released to mark the occasion of International Joke Day. Several members of the franchise featured in the clip.

Dashing Australian opener Chris Lynn and New Zealand fast bowler, Adam Milne named Trent Boult as the funniest player in the Mumbai Indians dressing room, hailing the Kiwi fast bowler’s sarcastic comments and animated narrations. Lynn said, “It would have to be Trent Boult, whether it is being serious or being sarcastic. I think we talk about positivity, he does that. It is never negative, it is always learning, sarcasm, or having fun.”

While Sourabh Tiwary called ‘comedian’ Anukul Roy the funniest, Trent Boult returned the favor to Milne, suggesting the Kiwi speedsters makes him smile whenever he’s around. Notably, the young  Mumbai Indians southpaw, Ishan Kishan also emerged as a popular pick in this exercise. Rahul Chahar, Jayant Yadav, and Suryakumar Yadav hailed Ishan’s humor.

Mumabi Indians star, Suryakumar had said, “I think it has to be Ishan Kishan only. Even after the game, if it didn’t go our way he’s the guy who I like to be with at that time.” Jayant Yadav said, “It’s difficult to describe Ishan Kishan in an anecdote. I think the situational things that he does. He’s just witty.”

Meanwhile, all the Mumbai Indian players will reunite in the second phase of the IPL 2021 in September in UAE. At the time of season suspension, the defending champions were fourth in the team standings with four wins in seven games. Hence, they would like to continue their sensational run to lift the third consecutive trophy.
