Team India is chasing a stiff target of 299 in order to level the three-match series in the ongoing second ODI at the Adelaide Oval. Meanwhile, during the course of Australia’s innings, the Indian deputy skipper Rohit Sharma produced a brilliant effort at the covers.

However, the hosts once again produced a brilliant effort with the bat in the second match. Even with Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s impressive efforts at the death, Australia has scored 93 off the final 10. They have posted a decent total on board, especially after struggling early in the innings. Shaun Marsh, was high on confidence as he scored a fifty in the previous game, kicked on for greater things today to lead Australia’s recovery from 26 for 2.

Their first burst of momentum came from targetting debutant Mohammed Siraj, which made the things a bit easier for the hosts. The others in the lineup played around Marsh really well. Glenn Maxwell, who batted at No 7 played some shots down the order to propel Australia to a good score. But the short boundary played a crucial role in the game, and the pitch doesn’t seem to any help for the bowlers. So India will hope for a better response than what they managed in the first ODI.

However, during the fag end of Australia’s innings, Rohit attempted a brilliant catch at the covers. The Indian Premier League  (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) took to Twitter to post a scintillating effort from their skipper Rohit Sharma at the covers during the Tuesday’s clash at Adelaide. They compared it with one of the efforts of Yuvraj Singh.

Yuvraj was quick to reply to the tweet by MI official Twitter handle saying the attempt was almost close to him. He replied, “Almost”.
