Defending champions Mumbai Indians have unveiled their fresh jersey for the upcoming 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The innovative design, conceptualized by renowned designer Monisha Jaising, draws inspiration from the iconic blue and gold colours of Mumbai Indians.

In a video released by the franchise, enthusiastic fans are seen proudly wearing jerseys adorned with the names of players like Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishan Kishan, and the newly-appointed captain, Hardik Pandya.

Monisha Jaising explained her creative process, emphasizing the jersey’s embodiment of the dynamic spirit of Mumbai and the relentless energy, diversity, and enduring optimism of the franchise. Her goal was to craft a design that inspires both players and fans, encapsulating the essence of Mumbai and the Mumbai Indians.

It is this very essence that I have tried to capture in the design, inspiring both players and fans, knowing that they carry with them the heart of Mumbai and Mumbai Indians,” said Monisha in an official statement.

Alongside the jersey launch, Mumbai Indians have introduced various membership packages catering to fans of all ages. Gold membership is available for INR 2,199, while the silver and junior packages are priced at INR 699. Official members will enjoy early access to home match tickets, exclusive merchandise, and invitations to various events.

The Mumbai Indians will kick off their IPL 2024 campaign against the Gujarat Titans on March 24 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The upcoming season marks the return of Hardik Pandya to the Mumbai Indians, who departed the 2022 champions to rejoin his former franchise for an undisclosed fee. Following his return, Hardik Pandya was named the captain, while Rohit Sharma will continue as a vital batsman in the team.
