Mumbai Police Finds A Social Distancing Message In Dhoni’s Birthday

As former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni celebrated his 39th birthday on Tuesday wished poured in from all parts of the world. However, apart from cricketers and fans, Mumbai police also wished one of India’s most successful captains and they enhanced the occasion by conveying a public message on social distancing through Mahi’s birthday.

Tweeting a graphic in which MSD was the acronym of ” Maintain Social Distancing”, Mumbai Policecaptioned the Tweet as, “Do it the ‘Mahi Way’ – Stay ‘Not Out’, Stay Cool & Stump #coronavirus. Happy Birthday, Captain Cool. #HappyBirthdayMahi #SocialDistancing”.

On Dhoni’s birthday, a lot of his former and current teammates left no stone unturned in coming up with birthday greetings for Mahi. The players like Virender Sehwag and Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Suresh Raina, Kuldeep Yadav, and VVS Laxman were among the first to wish Dhoni on his special day.

Dhoni played his last international game in July 2019, when India suffered an unforgettable loss against New Zealand in the semi-final of the World Cup. He was scheduled to make a comeback to competitive cricket during the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Former chief selector, MSK Prasad during a chat with PTI explained that if there is a T20 World Cup happening, there are certain chances that Dhoni can be called but it can’t be teh case with the bilateral series.

Explaining the same, Prasad said, “I don’t know whether the T20 World Cup is happening or not. If it is happening and you are just looking at the camp as a pre-cursor to the tournament, then MS should definitely be there. If it’s a case of bilateral, then you already have KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Sanju Samson.”
