Musheer’s journey to the IPL has been anything but smooth. The Mumbai cricketer had a severe car accident in September 2024, which resulted in a neck fracture and sidelined him for months. Reflecting on his experience with Iyer during the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy, Musheer Khan shared, “It was the first time I met Shreyas bhai up close. His positive mindset and confidence level really impressed me. He never speaks negatively. I also asked him about power-hitting, and his advice has stuck with me while batting.”

Iyer, who led Kolkata Knight Riders to a remarkable title triumph last season, was snapped up by PBKS for a whopping ₹26.75 crore in the mega auction.
