Former India pace bowler S Sreesanth’s wife Bhuvneshwari Kumari shared an interesting story about how she met him for the first time. The couple came on a recent episode of ‘Who’s The Boss?’ where Bhuvneshwari recalled seeing Sreesanth for the first time during an India-Pakistan match in Gwalior after the 2007 T20 World Cup as well. Her cousin had a lot of crush on the pace bowler and insisted that she should meet Sreesanth.

“I met him in Gwalior. There was an India-Pakistan match. I was in the girls school. My cousin had a huge crush on Sree. He was wearing this Beats headphone and all and she said this cricketer is looking nice. I said he’s not that nice also. It was immediately after the T20 World Cup (2007). We had gone to watch a game and he was not playing. He saw me there and he was telling my friends call that girl,” she said.

“I was not interested to go. My cousin told me to and I was like okay. You were not allowed in the cricketer’s box. I felt very humiliated that how dare he calls me and at least he should step out, but I did not know that time that there were protocols and you cannot come out. I went down in anger. He then comes down, and my cousin wanted his number. She was interested. She wrote something on a paper and gave it to the police. They gave it to him and he wrote his number on it. The police came and gave it to us,” she further added.

However, S Sreesanth, who was benched for that game, shared that he got a positive vibe when he saw Bhuvneshwari for the first time and he also made a song for her in Tamil when he first met her on the ground as well.

“I was not playing that game. It was not love at first sight but it was like she is so nice and it was more like a positive vibe. When I met here for the first time on the ground, I had made a song in Tamil for her,” he said. “Then we became friends. Then you tell your friends that you’ve got a cricketer’s number. Then I saw the crowd rushing towards him and I got charmed there. For a very long time we were just friends. But then I got to know that he is a very good human being,” S Sreesanth concluded.
