A rare incident took place during BCCI‘s U-19 women’s super league, where a match between Nagaland and Kerala saw as many as nine batsmen of Nagaland getting out on a duck and the final team score was 2/10.
Nagaland opted to bat after winning the toss and survived 17 overs to score just 2 runs. Opener Menka scored the only scoring shot of their innings before getting out for 1. Meanwhile, Priyanka remained not out for naught.
Kerala gained four points with this astonishing victory. Deepika Kaintura bowled a wide ball first before conceding a boundary on the final ball of the match. Thus, Kerala chased the target down by 10 wickets and their innings was last for just a ball.
Recently, in the very same tournament, Mumbai’s 15 years old Jemimah Rodriguez scored a double ton against Saurashtra. In another match featuring Nagaland and Manipur, we witnessed a whopping 136 wide balls, where former shared the fare with 94 and Manipur managed rest of those 42 wide.
