The groundbreaking Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, a state-of-the-art modular venue set to host eight matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in New York, has been unveiled. The project, located in Eisenhower Park, Nassau County, just 30 miles east of Manhattan, commenced this week and is scheduled for completion within three months.
Boasting a capacity of 34,000, the stadium will offer premium and general admission seating, VIP suites, hospitality suites, a party deck, and cabanas, providing a comprehensive experience for cricket enthusiasts. While modular stadiums are common in other sports like Formula 1, Golf, and the Olympics, this marks a world-first for cricket.
Designed by Populous, a renowned sports and entertainment venue architecture firm responsible for iconic structures like Yankee Stadium and the Narendra Modi Stadium, the project is set to redefine cricket infrastructure.
