Former English skipper, Nasser Hussain said on Friday that the surface of Headingley has looked flat this year, but both England and India are comprised of two vulnerable batting line-ups, so it is difficult to predict which team will be able to win the game. India defeated England by a huge margin of 151 runs in the second Test of the 5-match series at Lord’s to go 1-0 up.

England and India will be locking horns with each other in the third Test at Headingley, starting from August 25.

Talking about both the teams during a chat on DailyMail, Nasser Hussain said, “England had a mad hour but that’s the brilliance of Test cricket. The game can change so often over five days. It could be different at Headingley. It has looked very flat this year. But these are two vulnerable batting line-ups.”

Jofra Archer, Stuart Broad, and Chris Woakes were ruled out before the Test series, while Ben Stokes has taken an indefinite break due to mental health, days before the opening Test at Nottingham. Broad played the first test but he was ruled out from the series due to calf strain, he sustained during the training, and Mark Wood has also suffered an injury on his shoulder.

Talking about the same, Nasser Hussain said, “It will be difficult with so many bowlers out injured, and the way England are batting. But, I repeat, they were in a position to win the second Test on the final morning so that game wasn’t all bad.”
