After finishing seventh in the past two seasons, KKR’s fortunes have taken a positive turn this year, notably with the return of Shreyas Iyer as their captain and the legendary Gautam Gambhir rejoining as mentor. This change in leadership has contributed to the team’s resurgence, with smoother performances from the two-time champions.

Recognizing the impact of Gautam Gambhir’s leadership, former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu commended his ability to thrive under pressure.

“I have seen Gautam Gambhir get inspired when faced with tough situations. He steps up to advise, which is commendable. Anyone can lead when conditions are favorable, but true leadership shines in adversity,” Navjot Singh Sidhu remarked to Star Sports.

Navjot Singh Sidhu also highlighted KKR’s success secret, attributing it to their bowlers’ stellar performances. He noted that five KKR bowlers have claimed 10 wickets each, with only Vaibhav Arora narrowly missing the mark with nine wickets.

“KKR is unmatched with five bowlers achieving 10 wickets each, and the sixth not far behind with 9 wickets. Show me another team with such bowling prowess,” Navjot Singh Sidhu exclaimed.
